In the first game of Thursday, November 24 at the FIFA World Cup, Switzerland started their campaign with a win against the African nation of Cameroon by a scoreline of 1-0. The lone goal was scored by young striker Breel Embolo, and this was a big moment for him since it is his first-ever goal at the FIFA World Cup. This definitely called for a moment of celebration for the youngster.

In the 48th minute of the game, after a goalless first half, Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri made a beautiful cross to Embolo who tapped in from inside six yards to score the sole goal of the match. However, Breel Embolo chose to stay grounded as he did not celebrate the goal. He only looked up in the sky and prayed. He then high-fived his teammates before going on to continue the game.
